Friedel’s Betten sind die Besten,
Diese wollten wir natuerlich testen.

With a smile on her face, Tess was standing there,
A hearty welcome we were given in the garden square.
She showed us the house, the garden, our room, and the pool,
And then we met Friedel, the crazy “fool”!!

Die Einladung zum Braai nahmen wir gerne an,
Bei Daemmerung, hinterm Haus... der Spass begann.
Mit grossen Worten, Zauberei und auch Voodoo,
Aus Rind machte Friedel Zebra, Oryx and auch Kudu.
Tess’s salads were really, really yummy,
Bite by bite everybody filled his tummy.

Stunde am Stunde,
As the hours went by,
Lachte und quatschte die gesellige Runde,
From braai to Latenight-Laberei!

Nun haben wir Knysna “leider” in Regen kennen gelernt. Vielen dank fuer Eure Gastfreundschaft. Wir haben gut geschlafen und den Kaffee im Bett und das Fruehstueck genossen – es war sehr gemuetlich!

Thank you for looking after us so well. We felt very relaxed and very much at home.
You were great booking restaurants for us and suggesting days out – the best being to Storms River Mouth. A great trip. Will certainly recommend you to anyone asking for suggestions where to stay in Knysna. Location is amazing. Loved it all and was worth coming all the way from Northern Ireland to experience it!

Just to say a sincere “thank you” for looking after me so well. I have enjoyed your beautiful home amidst such wonderful scenery. Will have lovely memories back home in Belfast amid the frost and snow.
